Reviewing
the Results
When the results report is displayed in your browser, then you can
review the report for the file you tested.
The top of the report will show the name of file that was tested and a
link to it, along with the time and date tested. You will also see name
of the browser that was emulated and whether the file passed or failed
automated verification. Please note that there are still checkpoints
that have not been programmatically checked and you will need to test
some checkpoints manually. The main body of the report will show a table where each checkpoint that
was tested is listed. The first line of text in each checkpoint will
link to the site, (such as the
W3C.org... site or the
Access-board.gov... site) to where the standards or guidelines are
published. Additionally, the text content of the check will be listed.
The reports will show the different components
of the checks and for those checks that Cynthia Says can test
programmatically, details such as the line and column of the failure or
noted item are shown.
To the right, the checkpoints will have values
such as Yes or No for passing, while an NA will appear if no component
for that checkpoint to test is found. For those checkpoints that do not
have a Yes/No/NA value, then those are manual checks that need to be
tested by the user.
On Failures you can include the Source of the
File tested with Line numbers so you can easily identify the location of
the errors in your source.
